Homestay Accommodation

SCS offers Homestay accommodation throughout the UK in the suburbs of towns and cities. As a rule, we are unable to offer Homestay accommodation in city or town centres, but if staying centrally is essential for your visit, an alternative would be to choose hostel accommodation which is more generally available in city centres.   • Full Board - bed, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal
  • Half Board - bed, breakfast and evening meal
  • Bed & Breakfast
  • Guests are required to vacate their accommodation each day, including weekends
  • Minimum stay in each centre is 3 nights*
    *2 nights and 1 night may be possible by special arrangement - supplement applies

Guests are allocated by placing 2, 3 or 4 pax per family, however, we endeavour at all times to keep the number of 4 pax per family to a minimum wherever possible.

Families meet their guests at a designated meeting point on the day of arrival, and will take them back to the meeting point on the day of departure. Some centres offer daily transfers throughout the group's visit, but other centres will require the guests to make their own way to and from a local pick-up stop, within walking distance of the host-families.

Usual arrival and departure times are 18:30hrs and 08:00hrs/08:30hrs, but we can make special arrangements for times which differ from those – as long those times are reasonable and we are given adequate notice.

Local Organisers, or their assistants, will be present at the meeting point on arrival and departure day, and will be contactable by phone at all times in case of problems.

Our families are routinely and frequently checked to ensure that we are providing the best possible standard of Homestay accommodation.

The cost of Homestay throughout the UK varies a great deal among all the centres and it is not possible to include prices for each centre here. An average cost would be £18.50 per night for students of 17 years for full-board, but that price should be used as an approximate guide only as many centres cost more, and some centres cost less.
